Under The Son Designs
About Beth Walker
I live in Raleigh, North Carolina on a "Farmette" with two children and a wonderful husband, 4 cats, 4 dogs, 4 horses and 3 turtles.
I have been an Artist for over 30 years.
I attended Atlanta College of Art for a few years and then worked in several Apprenticeships, where I studied production art, sculpting and decorative painting.
Over the years I have taught, demonstrated, executed commissions, painted Murals, applied Faux finishes, painted furniture, designed and produced sculpture for the gift industry, painted finishes for the museum reproduction industry, and designed Scenic art for theatrical productions at Local theaters and several Universities.
I have started to paint in Oils the past several years and finally understand the love of the brush.
I began the line of Muralettes in response to the lack of enough hours in the day.
I designed this line of little murals for people who don't want a major installation but still have a touch of hand-rendered art in their homes and surroundings. All the designs are able to be customized in regard to color and size. The sky is the limit.
The first use of the Muralettes was for a Parade of Homes project.
We placed several birds in Trom'p'loi over several window sashes and a few Monkeys helping with the laundry room dull drums.
From there the line of whimsical designs has blossomed.
It now includes the original birds and Monkeys but also includes fairies, dragons, cats, Nursery Rhyme packages, lizards and toads (for the little boys in all of us ), chipmunks and mice.
The most recent addition included over sized penguins and a line of dinosaurs, my son assures me that there will always be a call for dinosaurs.
I hope you will enjoy my line of whimsical designs as much as I do!
